(Busti, NY)…The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Pro
Mod Series powered by Pace Performance are over halfway through their 2017
season. The second season has saw the Series grow to add Bradford Speedway and
McKean County Raceway in addition to Stateline Speedway. This Saturday (July
29) at Stateline will be an increased purse, Sweeney Weekly Series event part of
the second annual "Manufacturers Night" presented by MSD Performance as over
$11,000 in products will be distributed to Pro Mod racers! Race time is 7 p.m.
There
are currently 30 giveaways as each competing racer will win at least one product
valued at a minimum of $200 through a random drawing during intermission. The
grand prize is four GM Metric Calipers and three bottles of high performance
brake fluid valued at $1,115 compliments of TBM Brakes! MSD Performance, which
is the presenting sponsor of all four Series "Manufactures Nights", has posted
the third most valuable prize, which is an MSD 6ALN Ignition Control, MSD
Blaster HVC Ignition Coil & MSD 8.5mm Super Spark Plug Wire Set valued at $630.
Holley, which now owns MSD, has come on board in a big way in 2017 throughout
all of RUSH and will award the second richest prize- a Holley LTS 4150 Aluminum
Ultra XP 650 CFM Carb valued at $780!
To be eligible for the product giveaways, drivers must
attempt to compete in the program and be 100% RUSH Pro Mod-legal. Drivers do
not have to be RUSH members to be eligible for the prizes. Product certificates
are non-transferable and must be redeemed by December 31, 2017.
"First we have to thank the Scott Family for giving us the
opportunity to develop the RUSH Pro Mod division last year at Stateline," stated
RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "The Pro Mod class has doubled from last year with 22
cars competing so far this year. With the growth, we've been able to increase
the number of prizes from 18 last year to 30 on Saturday with the value going
from over $7,000 last year to over $11,000 this year! Several drivers will be
lucky enough to leave with more than one prize. We cannot thank all of our
great marketing partners that allow us to present these tremendous Manufacturers
Nights for all of our divisions."
With his nine victories (eight at Stateline and one at
Bradford), Dennis Lunger, Jr. is the current Sweeney Weekly Series point leader
by 43 over Ryan Scott. The 2017 champion will earn $3,500. Other winners this
season include Rich Michael, Jr. with three, while single victors include Vic
Vena, Steve Dixon, Chad Silleman, Matt Harvey, and last year's Sweeney Weekly
Series Champion Justin Carlson. Brian Mohawk leads the "Futures Cup" standings.
